Hotel Cleveland, Autograph Collection
"Historic Public Square landmark beautifully upgraded with nine-foot ceilings, vibrant bar, and the city's top location score."
About The Hotel
A 4.4-rated hotel on Public Square in the landmark former Renaissance building, with a vibrant bar, conference space, and upgraded historic rooms with nine-foot ceilings. It has the strongest location score in the city (4.8) and is reasonably priced for full-size upgraded rooms with friendly, capable staff. Paid on-site parking is expensive and confusing to guests; a historic city hotel rather than an in-room-jacuzzi property. Best for travelers who want historic downtown character right on Public Square. On Public Square downtown, steps from the casino, Playhouse Square and the rapid lines.

“Stayed here for a dance competition this weekend. Very nice hotel! Even though it looks huge it was super easy & fast to navigate to the different areas of the hotel. We were able to check in early & get a late check out (members). The front desk was super helpful and extremely nice! We had breakfast in the restaurant in the morning and again, super service from all staff members! Food was good, I got western omelet ($17) and the fruit tray ($12) both days. Room is very large! Loved the huge walk in closet! There is a steamer in the closet which was great! I prefer that over an iron. Clean room, comfortable bed & pillows. I did hear some folks complaining about no hot water, we are on 11th floor and no issues at all. Connected to Jacks Casino. There is a Starbucks over there and some other dining options. Returning in April for another competition. Recommend this hotel!” — kelnron05, 5 stars
“Lovely stop on our trip - the rooms were clean, staff was friendly, and breakfast was wonderful. Parking is expensive here, but you’re downtown so expected. All complaints are minor, but be aware: parking is confusing if you’ve not been here before, honestly pay for valet if it’s your first time, or if you have a tall vehicle (garage is 6’6”); noisier AC than average but just a bit; rooms are dark - very moody lighting which is fine if you like that; we didn’t have any washcloths and one side of our night lamp was burned out, both would probably have been easy calls to the front desk if we weren’t so tired.” — Anna52496, 5 stars
“We had an excellent experience, thanks largely to Ryan at the front desk. We had a minor issue with our room shortly after checking in, and Ryan addressed it and corrected it immediately. Later, we had an issue with noise and Ryan not only put us into a new, quieter room, but it was a major upgrade from our previous one. Finally, he actually looked for us to give us complimentary drink vouchers to make up for all of the inconvenience. He was professional, pleasant, knowledgeable, and made our stay even better than we expected. Also, the hotel is absolutely beautiful!” — Andrea W., 5 stars

"We stayed here mostly from seeing the pictures online, it looked exactly like our kind of place. Was close to the places we planned to visit, had a restaurant inside, had rooms big enough for a family of 5. Had a casino attached to the building with inside access which was just bonus points as we like a night out. It checked all the boxes. As we arrived the building, sign and lights were impressive and nostalgic feeling. Valet service was great addition. Checking in was quick and easy, they even included free full size water bottles any time we asked, no limit. Heading to our room for a family of 5 we didn't know what to expect. As we exited the elevator, we walked straight ahead down a short hall that ended in double doors. That was our room!? We've never had a room like this from a hotel. The space was large, had dining room table, living room space and separate bedroom with 2 large beds and large marble tiled bathroom. Views of the city were great from multiple angles. The breakfast restaurant had great breakfast choices while playing post modern jukebox the entire time which was also awesome. Great city views if you're lucky enough to sit by the large window. The bar/restaurant at night was also great, good food choices, good service and plenty of space including couches/comfy chairs for our family to hang out for awhile, eat some food, play cards and spend the evening without being rushed out. Coming from Chicago for a weekend trip, people might say, wow cleveland, must be so exciting.. gotta say, this hotel made the entire trip. We would go back to Cleveland just for this hotel experience again honestly. Side note, my 8 year old lost a tooth one evening while at the restaurant. One of the servers heard about it, brought him an ice cream and $5 of her own money for losing a tooth, beating the tooth fairy to the punch. Ive never been to any restaurant where a server gave US a tip lol. Great place and great people!"

You walk about a third of a mile through a shopping mall (with food court) right by Jack's casino, and then follow a pedway that goes to rocket arena as well as the baseball stadium. The rooms were nicely appointed, the staff was friendly, amd the bar had some good scotch. Very convenient."

Everything was top notch. The rooms are new and I love the smell in the hallways. The food was delicious. I recommend you staying here. Love all the upgrades. JOB WELL DONE HOTEL CLEVELAND"
