Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza
"Art Deco landmark on Fountain Square with historic charm, fitness center, and bar—but pool is out of service and maintenance is mixed."
About The Hotel
The Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza is Cincinnati’s Art Deco landmark, housed in the 1930s Carew Tower complex with an ornate celebrated lobby that captivates many travelers. A 4.1-rated (3,590 reviews) Hilton in downtown’s best location (4.7 score), it offers a bar, lounge, fitness center, EV charging, and full conference facilities. A historic full-service downtown hotel rather than an in-room-jacuzzi property—and its pool has been out of service since incomplete pandemic-era renovations. Honest note: recent reviews are mixed on maintenance and service despite the spectacular Art Deco setting; guests praise the architecture but some cite dated rooms, HVAC issues, and inconsistent housekeeping.
What Guests Are Saying
“I had the pleasure of being a part of this spectacular, unique wedding in this dreamlike 1930s setting. I am truly blessed. The hotel staff were kind and professional, the restaurant food options were a-plenty and affordable. The hotel room cost was affordable.” — Janean P., 5 stars
“We stayed here for the historic architecture and full service Hilton amenities. The location is great! The rooms are older but comfortable with everything needed. The breakfast buffet was excellent as was the service and decor.” — Cheri G., 5 stars
“We are frequent visitors to Cincinnati and typically stay at the Netherlands Plaza. We appreciate the historical esthetic and find the staff very friendly. It is a quick walk to events and venues. Visiting in June 2026, we were upgraded to a suite on the 24th floor (2407). We were attending an event so did not get back to the hotel until after 11 pm. The temperature in the room was 73 degrees, with no air blowing through the air conditioning units. It was too hot, with no air movement. Additionally the air conditioning unit ran constantly and would produce a grinding noise, with the occasional high pitched squeal. By the time we realized this it was after midnight. I was glad I had noise cancelling air pods. Not a great night sleep. We did let the front desk staff know in the morning. Hopefully the next guests will have a better experience.” — Susie P., 3 stars

What guests are saying about Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza.
"Beautiful hotel. Service was great and had no complaints except room service got our order wrong twice and we had to wait almost an hour between each delivery. Bathroom was a little small in the room but that makes sense since it's an old building. It was right downtown with a beautiful view of the river. Within walking distance of a lot of food, shops, and entertainment. Overall I really enjoyed my stay."
