About The Hotel

Days Inn by Wyndham Picayune sits on South Loftin Avenue as a bare-bones budget option for travelers transiting I-59. The property offers free Wi-Fi, free parking, and pet-friendly accommodations at rock-bottom rates. However, its 3.4-star rating across 79 reviews reflects persistent issues with cleanliness, maintenance, and upkeep. Recent guest reports document roach infestations, stained towels, broken furniture, damaged outlets, and poor housekeeping standards. Staff have been cited for refusing room changes and indifference to complaints. This property functions as a last-resort base between Hattiesburg and New Orleans only for budget-conscious travelers willing to inspect rooms thoroughly before accepting them.

What Guests Are Saying

“The room was dirty. There were roaches. The shower had hair in it and a cigarette, but on the wall. I asked to be put in another room because of this and they refused to move me and it was nonrefundable. I booked a non-smoking room and they said smoking was all they had. But this hotel was not packed with cars and you can see inside each room. If it is vacant there were plenty of vacant non-smoking rooms. They just didn’t want to give it to me. the continental breakfast isn’t really a breakfast. They offer the bare minimum just to say they do it. the towels were stained and dirty. I saw hair in the towels too. The comforter had cigarette burn marks . The bathroom had the previous tenant towel still on the shower rack. The TV remote was only good for changing the channel. The value nor the power worked on the remote. This was the most filthiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I do not recommend anyone coming here ! places like this, that does not do their due diligence to make sure their guests have an enjoyable experience should be closed down and reported to the BBB” — Victoria H., 1 star

“Wouldn’t recommend this motel. The outlet was hanging out of the wall, the dresser had broken drawers falling out, the TV had a big black line across the top and the grounds and pool were not taken care of.” — Resort27310376804, 1 star

“The 1st room had dead roaches in the fridge. There was a smashed roach guts on wall. Upon looking at fridge the seals were busted and roaches were living inside. Roaches everywhere in this one. Furniture falling apart. The floor had hairballs and food crumbs everywhere. Towel had hige mold spot on it. Cobwebs everywhere. Holes in walls. Room 2. Never could get key to work. Room 3 only a few roaches. Potato chips crushed on floor, other food crumbs. Couch smelled like urine. As the cleaner smell wore off the urine smell got worse. Holes in wall. Cigarette butt on nightstand, wrappers from straws everywhere. Cleaning person does not haveve a vacum. I saw her cleaning rooms the next day. Just an old broom so the rooms will garranteed to be dirty. When i complained to the front desk, they didnt care and had obviously heard the same complaints before. He didnt even want to hear my complaints. I guess i was disturbing him. The lobby is slways locked. I think the owners live in it. Every single day your there you will have to get a new key, they dont know how to program them properly. Pool looked damaged and drained. All vending and laundry and ice had signs stating out of order.” — Shane K., 1 star
