What Guests Are Saying

“This is a beautiful hotel. Wonderful staff. It’s well maintained clean rooms and amazing views of the Mississippi River. The breakfast buffet was delicious” — Kay W., 5 stars

“We stayed here overnight before visiting the Frogmore Plantation. Lovely Independent hotel built on the river Bank. The views are lovely, enjoyed watching the barges and ships go by, especially after the sun goes down. The staff were very welcoming and helpful.” — casajasso, 5 stars

“For such a large prestigious hotel our experience was a bit mixed. The staff were very helpful and polite but our room was a little tired looking, cracked tiles in the bathroom floor and a bathroom suite in need of updating. Having said that there was plenty of hot water and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good but the experience was marred by the paper plates and cups and plastic cutlery.” — Janice D., 4 stars

"I have stayed here twice and can’t wait to go back! Beautiful hotel with clean rooms and very friendly staff - the gentleman at the breakfast bar is the most hospitable guy and takes care of your needs immediately. Great location overlooking the Mississippi River with plenty of things to do within walking distance. This place has a nostalgic vibe and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. Don’t miss it!"

"The rooms are dated but VERY cozy. Room service is punctual and respectful of belongings. The front desk is always happy to help you and the location is really stunning. Right on the river, you can very easily walk to just about wherever you want to go."

"This hotel definitely is wrapped up with good and the not as good. But nothing totally bad that would prevent me from staying again. Here's my list. Bad list 1. They have a BS hidden charge of $22. when you check in. It's listed in your fine print when you book the reservation. It's charged at the desk and covers. the gym, Internet etc. 2. All furnishings are dated. Not vintage or antique. Just warn out old furniture. 3. Limited parking. 4. Very poor hospitality from the staff. Good list. 1. Location, location, location 2. Great views "see #1" 3. Walking around the historical areas. "See #1" In short I would stay here again. However I've definitely had better service, views, amenities, at much less cost."
