What Guests Are Saying
“Sharrod is the best! He always take care of us!” — Jimmy M., 5 stars
“Stayed here for one night with my wife as a short layover driving from Memphis to New Orleans. We chose the hotel as it was central and supposedly in a safe area in Downtown. It had a bar, so if we didn’t go anywhere, we should be sorted for a few drinks. When we arrived I found the lobby area very nice and welcoming however felt the staff at the front desk a little cold in comparison to the other 5 hotels I stayed in accross the south during our 3 week visit. The room was decent for the rate we paid, but breakfast was not included. The bar didn’t open until 5 pm, so we took a walk to find a ghost town. We went into one restaurant bar around 3 pm. for food, and they were closing as they had no customers all day. After walking and finding absolutely nothing on an early Friday evening, we returned to the hotel and, on our map, found a restaurant called the Iron Horse Grill 2 mins from the hotel. Thankfully, we found this. It had a bit of life. We had a lovely early dinner and went back to the hotel for a drink to find an empty bar. My wife and I sat for 90 minutes and not one other customer. We went back to the Iron Grill for the evening, who had a nice little blues 2 piece band on for the evening. The Hilton Garden Hotel was fine. The problem more so is Jackson is a ghost town.” — Brian B., 3 stars
“Not a good part of town. Arrived at 5pm and one of the 2 rooms we reserved wasn’t ready. Went to the one that was and someone else’s bags were in the room but yet our key worked. We got a refund and left.” — Lesscat, 1 star
