What Guests Are Saying

“This HGI is an older hotel that was recently renovated and seems to be well maintained. Their Secret-Sauce is the VERY Personal and Professional Staff (i.e., Jarrett & Mary / Front-Desk, Leslie / Bar & Restaurant, and the Housekeeping Team. Every staff member, I met was engaging and made my stay memorable. This will be my hotel of choice for my next five visits to the Hattiesburg /Columbia this year.” — RJ J., 5 stars

“The woman over the kitchen was very nice and apologized for the late breakfast. She explained the issue and made everything right with all the guest. The front desk old black lady was very polite and helpful. She was also helping a woman over the kitchen. Overall it was a nice stay.” — Mike S., 4 stars

“Not up to their usual standards for cleanliness. Our shower had an excessive amount of mold and mildew at the grout at the bottom. Glass shower door has water stains. The shower gel appeared to have a broken pump dispenser but I say appeared because I would not have touched it even if it had been working because the bottle was smeared with something blackish green. The floor in the halls had things that should have been picked up or vacuumed more frequently. The floor in our room also seemed to have not been vacuumed or swept. This is the first negative review I ever remember giving for a Hilton Garden Inn. When I told the desk people about the issues and showed them the pictures they did not really seem concerned but said they would make a note. The staff were friendly. I did have trouble with key cards and digital key not working on second day of stay so had to go back down to get that reprogrammed. I had stayed here a year before while it was being remodeled and it was great then.” — Dichelle G., 2 stars

"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ What an absolutely wonderful stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Hattiesburg, Mississippi! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm, welcoming atmosphere, made even more special by the beautiful holiday décor throughout the hotel. The staff truly went above and beyond—everyone I encountered was incredibly pleasant, friendly, and genuinely helpful, which made the entire stay seamless and enjoyable. As a team member, I was kindly upgraded, and the room exceeded my expectations. It was spacious, spotless, and very well maintained, with a super comfortable bed that made it easy to relax and get a great night’s sleep. While the view from my room wasn’t ideal due to its location, it honestly didn’t take away from the experience at all. The attention to detail, cleanliness, and overall care of the property really stood out. This hotel is a true gem, and it’s clear the staff takes great pride in what they do. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would absolutely recommend this Hilton Garden Inn to anyone visiting the Hattiesburg area!"

"When I arrived Ms Christie checked us in. She was very polite and courteous. When we got to our room we discovered that it was not handicapped accessible, very small. We contacted the front desk.Yes, they immediately began to work on getting us a handicap accessible room. Day referred me to the manager , Ramon. He worked on the problem throughout the night and promised me that I could have a handicap accessible room the next day. When we returned from our event on Saturday afternoon, we need to move into a much spacious room in hand accessible bathroom. From the time we check in everyone was professional and courteous. From housekeeping to management. The only issue I have with this Hotel is that they did not offer complimentary breakfast. $10 is too much for a piece of fruit. Or a bowl of grits."
