"Our stay at Afton House Inn was so nice! It was perfect for January with the cozy fireplace and hot tub in our room. We look forward to coming back in the summer to stay in a riverside room with the view and easy access to the river for boating. Everyone working during our stay were so friendly and accommodating. View on Google"I rarely leave reviews beyond a simple rating but feel this time is warranted! Our stay was a surprise for my wife for our anniversary. I feel so lucky that I chose this location! I haven't felt taken care of this well since I was a child staying with a favorite aunt. What made our stay so special was Peggy. I cannot say enough good things about her!! We have stayed at many nice hotels but have never been walked up to our room before. While other places provide breakfast, at Afton house inn we were greeted by a smiling Peggy in the lobby. She proceeded to seat us in the restaurant, gave us coffee, and then went into the kitchen to make us breakfast! She is not only a wonderful host but a great cook too! She met our every need before we thought to ask and made us feel like we were the only guests in the hotel and truly seemed happy to have us. Peggy is remarkable and I am Grateful for her :) Other hotels could do themselves a favor by sending their employees to the Afton House Inn to see Peggy in action. She is That Good!!"

View on Google"What a wonderful place to stay. The room was amazing with the whirlpool and fireplace. This place was exactly what I was looking for to stay for my birthday. Close to Stillwater too. This place has restaurants, wine bar, coffee shop, and a little salon all in one building. The walleye and prime rib were the best we've ever had. We had our best before but this was our new best. We even got a yummy breakfast that comes with your stay. This place took me back to my younger days and had that up north feel. The staff were extremely friendly and made sure we had a nice stay. Definitely will be back. I'd love to stay in winter as it is so cozy. Thank you! ---Willie and Carla"
