About The Hotel

The Chateau Merrimack Resort & Spa sits on Pawtucket Boulevard along the Merrimack River in Tyngsboro, a small, 48-room boutique resort built around its spa, wine cellar, and restaurant. It is not a large chain hotel — it is intimate and personal, with a 3.8 rating reflecting that experiences vary more at a small property. Some guests rave about attentive service and a full experience of comfort and care; others find the property dated or the amenities inconsistent. The appeal lies in the on-site spa, the wine cellar, the restaurant, and the quiet riverside setting — a self-contained retreat where couples often spend evenings at the wine bar and dinner table rather than venturing out. It is best for those seeking an intimate, no-frills spa and wine experience; confirm spa services, wine-pairing options, and room types (particularly jetted-tub rooms) at booking.

The rooms were spotless, beautifully maintained, and extremely comfortable. Every aspect of the service reflected true hospitality at its finest. The amenities were excellent, the atmosphere was inviting, and every request we had was handled quickly, and with care. We truly felt valued and cared for throughout our stay. The Chateau Merrimack sets the gold standard for excellence- it wasn’t just a place to stay, it was a full experience of comfort and kindness. We absolutely will be returning and recommending it to everyone we know.” — Joyce B., 5 stars

"This place was amazing. The building itself gave a lot of "renaissance" vibes. Me and my partner loved it! We were 1 of the 5 guests staying there during our time there and it was heavenly. The staff was extremely attentive to our requests, and it was a very peaceful stay. Although it was off-season, we could tell that this hotel is "THE SPOT" in the summer. We hope to return in the near future and during the warmer months :)"

"Oh, this place felt so cozy. The indoor heated pool? Like a warm hug, honestly. And the spa—luxury overload, in the best way. Staff were sweet, not pushy. Honestly, just relaxing vibes all around."

"I stayed here recently for my beloved uncle’s wedding and the experience was absolutely lovely. The entire staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect — they were incredibly friendly, attentive, and accommodating throughout our stay and the ceremony. The atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable, and every interaction felt genuine. A special shout-out to Hans, the bartender, who was especially kind and personable — he made great drinks and made both me and my family feel right at home. Thank you to everyone for making such a special family occasion even more memorable. I’d absolutely stay here again!"
