“Four of us shared a family suite in the Peabody House with a kitchenette, living room (with day bed + trundle bed), 2 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms for 2 nights. The rooms were lovely and the space was comfortable. The only thing we wish was available was a full length mirror somewhere in the suite. Breakfast, which is included, is basic but the service was fantastic. The location really couldn’t be beat. “We stayed in the West House and loved everything about it. I was looking for a hotel with history and a great location and the Salem Inn was perfect! Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance. The breakfast was very good and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. We had to park in a lot a few blocks away but they have a spot you can use to unload your car when you check in. You will need to be able to navigate stairs but that wasn’t an issue for us. “Very nice hotel. Nicely decorated, room was clean, beds very comfortable. One set of stairs was steep and narrow, but there was another set which was easier to navigate. Finches in the lobby (in cage). Friendly staff. Breakfast was pretty good and included in stay. Need to place breakfast order the day before. The breakfast room was in a separate space accessible from right outside the hotel entrance. Room had an electric “fireplace” which was a decorative light without heat. Free parking on street in front of hotel, if you can find a space, otherwise parking located somewhere nearby. Friendly staff. "Stayed here for two weeks in December and it was wonderful. The team that works here is incredibly gracious and helpful. The room was nice and cozy, I have back issues and the bed was comfy. The breakfast was tasty, they have a variety of options to choose from and their breakfast area is cute. It’s right next to Essex street and shops. Parking can be a bit challenging but never had to park too far or felt that our rental car was in jeopardy (even when they were salting/shoveling the streets during snow)."

Not only was the complimentary breakfast a complete breakfast offering of our/your choice, but the Dining Room Staff were attentive, personable and professional. View on Google"Beautiful location and friendly staff. We stayed during January, so it wasn't very busy and had plenty of availability. The front doors require a pass code to unlock as well as your room, so plenty of security. We flew in a little early so the staff allowed us to have our luggage in the common area so we weren't hauling it around the town. There is no elevator, so if you're like us and get put on the 3rd floor, you will need to carry everything up stairs, so be prepared if you plan to pack heavy. They did make check in and check out super easy. The night before, they will send you a link to reserve your time for breakfast. If you are staying in Curwen House, you will need to walk to the main building to eat, but it is less then a 5 minute walk away. Breakfast was good and came warm. The coffee was really good. The Witches brew is a black coffee with a cinnamon flavor to it. All the amenities were clean and house keeping was very kind. I would definitely recommend staying here if you would like to stay somewhere local as it is not far from most local attractions. Everything was no more than a 10 minute walk away. Will definitely stay here again!"
