“We stayed in the Carriage House for Valentine’s Day and it was an absolutely perfect experience from start to finish. Marshall is an exceptional host. He sent us a personal welcome video, which immediately set the tone for the stay. The room was spotless and waiting for us with champagne and chocolate-covered pretzels from a local chocolate shop. That thoughtful, personal touch made all the difference. The Carriage House itself is charming, private, and beautifully appointed. Every detail was 5 stars, cleanliness, comfort, ambiance, location. “What a great stay. We stayed in the crows nest room and it was so cute! Room was very clean and thoughtfully laid out. We hope to stay again next year. You’ll get information about how to get to your room before you arrive. “We enjoyed our late October two night stay at this 19th century, beautifully decorated inn. Some friends had stayed here previously and said it was a really charming BnB. We thought so also. The only disappointment was no breakfast included, but to be fair, it was not confirmed specifically to us via email and it’s advertised now without the BnB behind the name (I noticed this later though). The walk is only 3-4 blocks into town for enjoying small eateries, so no big deal and we liked the small town diner breakfasts there, as well as a couple of dinners. The bed and bedding were so comfortable along with reading light on the night stands. Enjoyed the coffee /tea in the room and fridge. The shower is mighty but can be adjusted if you are short. Plenty of room for stuff on the bath room counter. We did not get to meet the inn-keeper, Marshall, but he sent us a welcoming text as we were driving from central MA with all the self-check-in details. The only thing that was a bit hard was getting our luggage up the spiral stair, but we managed. Had I known, I would have asked for a ground floor though.” — Patti K., 4 stars
