About The Hotel

The Anchor Inn Beach House is a waterfront inn right on Commercial Street in the heart of Provincetown, with harbor views, private decks, and an unbeatable location steps from the galleries, restaurants, and MacMillan Wharf. It holds a 4.6 across 487 reviews, with guests praising the location and the water views; however, recent reviews note variable service quality and occasional disappointments. The inn is best for travelers wanting maximum Commercial Street energy and harbor views, willing to trade resort amenities for location. At $517–$591 per night, it is among Provincetown’s most expensive stays, and the lack of a shared pool or hot tub means that in-room whirlpools are a specific room category to confirm. For location on the waterfront in the action, the Anchor Inn is unmatched.

What Guests Are Saying

“We booked a 3 day trip 6 weeks in advance and started trying to cancel the next day and continued trying for 3 more days. They charged our card (which shouldn’t have been done) for half the cost of the room, $1800. They refuse to refund this money even though the website says fully refundable! It’s been and awful experience!!!” — Lynda G., 1 star

"We hsd room 119 which was perfect for us since it had a terrace with chairs to overlook commercial street and windows all around one of them overlooking the pier and another overlooking the Pilgrim Monument The quality of the bed and bathroom excellent. Small fridge and a small faucet also inside the room. Would definitely stay here again Continental breakfast .. Basic but fresh."

"We had a lovely stay in October 2024 for our 27th anniversary. We had a room on the top floor and everything was just wonderful. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well, which is rare for me in a hotel!! The view from the deck was just stunning and we really enjoyed relaxing in the comfortable chairs. Breakfast was all we needed - a yogurt and muffin was just what I like in the morning. And just out the front door was a wide array of restaurants. The staff was great. We will definitely come back!"
