John Carver Inn & Spa
"A downtown John Carver Inn & Spa with a themed indoor Pilgrim Cove pool, a water slide, an on-site spa, and a restaurant steps from Plymouth Rock."
About The Hotel
The John Carver Inn & Spa sits on Summer Street in downtown Plymouth, steps from Plymouth Rock, the Mayflower II, and the historic waterfront. It is a full-service inn with a themed indoor Pilgrim Cove pool featuring a Mayflower replica and a water slide, an on-site spa, a restaurant, and updated rooms — a one-stop family and couple’s destination. It holds a 3.9 across 990 reviews, with families praising the themed pool and downtown location, though some guests note the property can feel busy and occasionally dated. For travelers who want a walkable downtown base with a pool and spa in one place, it delivers, but come with realistic expectations — it is a busy, full-service inn rather than a polished hotel, and spa services and jetted-tub rooms require advance confirmation.
What Guests Are Saying
“I wish the booking sites had accurate information about some of the amenities not being available due to renovations. I strongly feel that I overpaid for the rooms. Other hotels around the general area had lower prices and more amenities” — h35983stvv, 3 stars

"We came for a day pass for the pool. Very clean, life guard was available. They have 3 1/2 feet to 5 ft pool. Jacuzzi is for 16+, which is located in the middle of the pool, easy access to watch your child and enjoy the jacuzzi. They also have a deck to sit out and enjoy the sun (and dry off 😉). They also have changing rooms-showers/bathrooms. $20.00 pp for a day pass. Very nice area to let the kids have fun, however, I highly recommended calling before showing up as they have limited people/space for the day."

The staff were also very accommodating when I forgot something in my room and mailed it to me promptly. Only complaint was hammering waking us up at 8 am that continued for at least 40 minutes. Location is very convenient for access to downtown."
