About The Hotel

Hotel Pippa is a small, stylish boutique inn on Chestnut Street in the heart of Nantucket’s cobblestone downtown, earning a 4.5 rating across 108 reviews for exceptional design, cleanliness, and service. Its central location puts the shops, restaurants, galleries, and harbor within steps, and the thoughtfully designed rooms reflect island character and modern comfort. The trade-offs are the premium price—starting at $379/night and climbing in season—limited rooms requiring early booking, thin walls that carry noise in peak seasons like Christmas Stroll, and the island’s accessibility only by ferry or flight. No shared pool or hot tub is listed, so confirm an in-room soaking tub at booking. It is a stylish, central island base for couples and design-conscious travelers willing to embrace premium pricing and ferry logistics.

What Guests Are Saying

“I recently stayed at Hotel Pippa during Christmas Stroll. I know this is a crazy, busy time but there were things that made it not so great for the price we paid. There is a very small mention in Amenities that there is a bar attached to the hotel. It is literally several feet away from the check in lobby. It was so loud and noisy with singing, swearing, etc. I saw a couple with a baby checking in that first day and I can’t imagine that child slept at all. I asked about the noise and was told it would die down around “10 or 10:30”. The walls are very thin - you can hear someone sneezing, coughing and talking. Despite having the largest room in the hotel, the bathroom is absolutely tiny. The stairs are very steep, too. The place was immaculate, and located right in the middle of everything (maybe not so great for Stroll). People were very nice. I’m not sure I would stay there again, or maybe just not during Christmas Stroll.” — TRS5421, 3 stars

"My husband and I had a lovely stay at Hotel Pippa! Such beautiful charm in an exquisite location. We were greeted by the sweetest staff that made us feel absolutely welcomed. It was so peaceful regardless of being downtown. Definitely recommend their croissants in the morning! Thanks Hotel Pippa."

"We had the BEST stay here July 2025! 3 night perfection...(special thank you to Heather!) The rooms are cute and clean. And, the location is ideal. However, the wonderful staff simply puts this place over the top! everything we asked for magically appeared... Want a great cocktail when you arrive?? done! Need restaurant reservations? done! Can you help us find concert tickets!? done! laundry issue?? resolved... It was a great home-away-from-home, and we will definitely be back!"

"Great place to stay in Nantucket! My room was clean and adorable; only nitpicks were that the bathroom was across the hall (which I was expecting) and there was no elevator up to my room. Only access was 2 sets of steep staircases. Understandable, since the hotel was in a converted historical building. Outside of that, my stay was great. Breakfast was a nice mix of pastries and some protein. Location was perfect - close to lots of shops and restaurants in the center of town. Sleep quality was good. No noise from the street. I would not hesitate to stay here again!"
