What Guests Are Saying

“We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Chambery Inn. We planned an impromptu get away weekend, with the goals of a short drive from home, an area which offered boutique shops, great dining and a relaxing setting. A February weekend in New England made a fireplace in the room essential to us, which was an additional requirement that made our search challenging. We found the Chambery Inn and it checked every box. We purchased a couple’s massage in room, in advance and would highly recommend this added component. Our room was appointed with two comfortable lounge chaises to sit fireside with a huge television to enjoy the 2026 Olympic Winter Games, and/or listen to a live jazz concert by Chris Botti, play cribbage, read books and simply enjoy relaxing. Breakfast was delivered outside our door, with a soft knock on the door to alert us. Our choice of scones, quiche and yogurt/granola were delicious - with the freshest coffee and the local newspaper included in the picnic basket. Being a winter getaway, the heater switch in the bathroom was a delightful feature. The towels and bathrobes were high quality. The bed was very comfortable, with quality bed linens. The fireplace was lovely and just what we were hoping for. While these physical appointments were perfect in every way, the Innkeepers’ hospitality was even more special. The texts/correspondence initiated by Bob were so very helpful. From booking our room and massage, to following up to be sure we knew they were a phone call or text message away, the cordiality was off the charts. I highly recommend the Chambery Inn, whether during foliage season, Tanglewood events or off peak (as we experienced) the accommodations they offer in the Berkshires are incredibly special.” — Penny D., 5 stars

“What a find! This is now by far our favorite place to stay when visiting the Berkshires - we visit twice a year, and we’ve paid more - so it will be our go-to home away from home. Our room was spacious and beautiful, great windows, 14-ft high ceilings, with extremely comfortable furnishings, nice bathroom & jetted bath. The chalk boards from the original schoolroom with a lot of history from other visitors was a great vibe. The breakfasts were brought to our door when and how we wanted them. And Bob and Olia were fantastic hosts, sharing the unique history of the inn and offering many recommendations. Lee is also a lovely small walking town, and a perfect jumping-off point for the rest of the Berkshires. Can’t wait to visit again.” — Dan B., 5 stars

“Fourth time we have stayed at the Chambery Inn and each time, the visit gets better. Rooms are quaint, very large and very, very comfortable. Love the unique blackboards in our room, left over from when the inn was a school house and we added our comments to the dozens that were already there. Also loved the gas fireplace in our room which made it nice and cozy. Breakfast was delivered on time, in a picnic basket and was delicious. We also ordered a charcuterie board, sourced from a local farm, (High Lawn, which I recommend visiting during your stay) which offered an excellent selection of meats, cheeses and crackers. Hosts Bob and Olia are wonderful and we are already looking to our fifth visit.” — Robert G., 5 stars
