What Guests Are Saying
“This is a quiet, comfortable and cozy B&B located about 1/4 mile outside of downtown Lee. While the owner/innkeepers were not very visible (there were only 3 couples at the Inn this weekend) Pam was a friendly, helpful and efficient presence from breakfast through the evening wine and cheese gathering. The common areas of the Inn are large and comfortable with lots of interesting books and Knick-knacks to look at. We stayed in Room 8 - an absolutely beautiful room with a large four poster bed (with INCREDIBLY soft sheets) and an enormous bathroom, featuring a sizable two-person jacuzzi under a beautiful set of windows. We often stay at Select Registry Inns and this one was among the finest we’ve enjoyed. The wine and cheese gathering at 5pm is a great way to begin the evening and/or wind down from an active adventure in the Berkshires. A thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable stay in an elegant but comfortable Inn (and I’ve found it harder than you’d think to find both elegant AND comfortable in the same Inn). We will return.” — Brad J., 5 stars
“We were looking for a place to stay while in the Berkshires and went to the trusty B&B Registry and the Applegate Inn was one of the B&B’s recommended for this area. The Inn is quant and situated on a huge property that backs up to a wooded area. The grounds are well kept and easily walkable. Due to this being a last minute trip we were limited to a few available rooms. Our room was a little small but very clean and comfortable. They have a large living room that is stocked with board games and many books which you can read in the adjacent sun room. The breakfast was served in the formal dining room and was absolutely delicious - don’t miss it!!. The common areas are well kept including the heated swimming pool. The Inn keeper, Pam, was very helpful and friendly and had great restaurant reservations. Highly recommended” — DomfromNYC, 5 stars
“Warm, inviting, comfortable, spacious… The Applegate Inn was the highlight of our recent trip to the Northeast. Each room in the Inn is different, so when I phoned, Pam helped me select the room which was perfect for our needs. We were on the top floor and had a very gracious, quiet room complete with a king sized canopy bed and soaking tub. The bedding was wonderful, the room quiet, and we slept better than we had in days. In the evening, we enjoyed wine and cheese with other guests in the living room, and breakfast the next morning was fabulous. We enjoyed homemade scones, blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit and a variety of other options. Pam is a wonderful manager and is devoted to The Applegate Inn and her guests. Her love of the property is evident in everything she does.” — BridgesFrisbeeDog, 5 stars

We choose Room 8 for the king-size bed and huge jacuzzi tub which was a must after a day of being out in the cold of winter. The room was huge, super clean, quiet, and had everything you would possibly need for an extended stay. The host staff was exceptional and a great resource for things to do in the area. The breakfast was really good. Everything we had was delicious. We felt really spoiled. I would highly recommend you stay at the Applegate."

We always enjoy the wine and cheese at 5 and delicious breakfast. Pam does such a wonderful job of making us feel right at home,!"
