Super 8 by Wyndham Hagerstown/Halfway Area

"So. After a rather frustrating (to say that kindly) experience trying to check into the Red Roof a couple miles south of this hotels exit, after paying for that room in advance and then arrive to find out the clerk wanted a $50.00 cash deposit, which i tried to explain i didn't have and was looking around for an ATM, then to be told I should leave and call priceline fir a refund because he couldn't check me in without cash, which I had doubts about, and still told after several calls later that there will be no refund, I came to this hotel expecting the same for a cash check in without reservation, instead found a very understanding and kind clerk on duty who got us put up pretty quick and explained what my options were. Nice! A clerk who #1 spoke clear English, #2, had no extra fees, #3, gave knowledgeable advice. Beautiful. From now on no priceline or Hindu hotels. I'm not racist. No. I have many many friends. What i can't stand is being manipulated. Especially by someone who clearly didn't care how tired I was. What if instead of checking me in with my already paid reservation he sent me back on the highway and I fell asleep and killed myself or someone else. ??? Hmmm. Definitely calling a lawyer. I have stayed at this property 6+ times over the last two years and it is consistently clean, well maintained, and staffed with friendly and welcoming employees. I always travel with my dog and the property being pet friendly is why I first started staying here. Even as a pet friendly property, you’d never know - the property is always very clean and fresh! There is easy access to take pets outside, and more than enough room to walk dogs and take care of their business. It is a great property, and all the employees are to be commended for their hard work and dedication to their guests!"

"I had a special time in this motel. Location very quiet and family friendly. The service outstanding, I had 2little kids and the staff at front desk kept the back doors monitored for security purposes. House keeping is the tresor here. They keep your room neat every single day. I was here for 13days not one day I was disappointed. They even went beyond by gathering my kids shoes and toys scattered around to place them together in a more organized way. Just Imagine doing that every day with no complaints and always kind to us. The bathtub was every day ready for a clean bubble bath for the kids. You just have to bring your own bubble soap and toothpaste. Every thing else for toiletries is provided. My husband said to keep the memory of their delicious 🥓 bacons. Definitely I will recommend the motel."
