What Guests Are Saying

“The Bear Mountain Inn is a cozy, romantic getaway in Maine. The views of the lake are picturesque and the breakfast is amazing! The Inn owners are very kind and always make sure we have a comfortable stay! This is our second time staying at Bear Mountain Inn, we have loved both rooms we stayed in. We stayed in White Pine, which has a separate entrance located next to the pub. The room was beautiful! Perfect location not too far from Sunday River. There are nice shops and restuaraunts to visit in nearby Norway, ME. Overall, another great stay at Bear Mountain Inn!” — SamFM26, 5 stars

“The Bear Mountain Inn is a beautiful, calm and welcoming respite from touristy destinations in Maine. I was traveling with friends to attend a weekend workshop and we were warmly welcomed by Jess and her team. The relaxing vibe stayed through the entire stay. The food was farm-to-table fresh and exceptional. The Inn has been creatively restored with whimsy - and did I mention - spotless?!? As a former inn owner I know how difficult it is to host special events, yet Jess, Kyle, Molly, Andy and everyone did above and beyond. A five-star stay from beginning to end. It felt like love❤️” — arty-lodger, 5 stars

“Our family (2 adults + 2 young adult boys) visited Bear Mountain Inn on our first ever trip to Maine, and the barn suite accommodations were perfect for us! We had a full kitchen for cooking, everyone had their own bedroom and bath, and the view of the lake and the grounds from all the lovely windows was stunning. The bedding, pillows and towels (and extra blankets) were beautiful and soft. Wi-fi worked beautifully. The trail through the woods that follows the lake and stream was beautiful and serene. Bug spray was provided! The owners are lovely, and available to answer any questions or share information. Hannaford’s grocery store was 15 minutes away, and had a great selection of produce, bakery items, and other yummy stuff for cooking. With a fresh breakfast provided every morning, we didn’t have to leave the grounds unless we wanted to. We loved the small rec room (pool and ping pong) and the outdoor hot tub was a hit, too. We didn’t try the outdoor fire pits (or the s’mores kits that were available), but that’s on our list for next time! If you’re looking for a cozy couple’s stay, or if you’re going with friends, the rooms in the house are amazing, and there’s a little 2-person cottage on the grounds with a cute private sitting area facing the lake, including an electric fire pit. We would definitely go back!” — tinaday1114, 5 stars

"My husband and I got married at Bear Mountain Inn and Barn with immediate family this winter. Jessica and Nick were incredibly accommodating and made the planning process SO easy. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the breakfasts were delicious, and we stayed busy utilizing all the grounds had to offer (hot tub, massage barn, sledding, skating) We truly had the best weekend ever."

"We had our dream fall wedding at Bear Mountain Inn in Maine, and it truly couldn’t have been more perfect. The property is absolutely stunning—surrounded by vibrant autumn colors, open outdoor spaces, and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that made the whole weekend feel magical. Jessica and Nick were incredible hosts who immediately made us feel comfortable and at home. We stayed at the inn from Thursday through Sunday, which made everything so relaxed and gave us time to really enjoy the experience with our friends and family. Everyone loved it—especially gathering around the bonfire in the evenings and playing lawn games on the beautiful lawn! Working with Andrea on coordination was so smooth and stress-free. Every detail was handled with care, and the setup was done for us so we could simply enjoy our celebration. We also loved that Bear Mountain Inn is pet-friendly—our dog was able to be part of our special day, which meant so much to us. If you’re looking for a warm, personal, and effortlessly beautiful place to get married, Bear Mountain Inn is it. We can’t recommend it highly enough!"

"My husband and I got married at Bear Mountain Inn this past September, and it was truly the most magical weekend. From the moment we first visited, we knew this was the place - we were blown away by the stunning lake views and were especially drawn in by the cozy inn and barn. We stayed in the cutest little cabin separate from the main inn and our dog was able to stay with us! The owners, Nick and Jessica, are the nicest couple ever and Nick cooks one of the best briskets in New England. Jessica was amazing from start to finish - organized, kind, and so thoughtful. She made the entire planning process easy and enjoyable. When rain changed our outdoor ceremony plans, Jessica and the staff pivoted seamlessly and created the most beautiful ceremony inside the barn. It turned out even more romantic and special than we could have imagined! The staff were just as wonderful. They made sure everything ran perfectly and that our guests felt completely cared for and at home all weekend. As an anxious bride, I was so incredibly grateful for and impressed by their warmth and professionalism. We left Bear Mountain Inn with full hearts and we’re so grateful to the Orgos and their team for making our day perfect in every way! If you’re looking for a beautiful setting, amazing service, and people who genuinely want your day to be magical, this is the place. We can’t recommend it highly enough!"
