What Guests Are Saying
“We were very impressed! We more commonly stay at slightly more upscale accommodations, and plain “Best Western” without the “Plus” or “Premier” can be hit or miss, but this was definitely a hit. All of the hotels in Portland proper were over twice the price, so I’m glad we stayed here. The room was quite spacious, and even had a massaging chair! The sink outside the bathroom was a great plus. Everything worked well, there were ample outlets, and the internet connection was decent. Breakfast was pretty standard, typical of what one gets at any BW, Holiday Inn Express, or Hampton Inn. It was never too crowded while we were there (3 nights). Parking was easy. One can get to downtown Portland in 10 minutes (driving). The property was more spread out than any BW I’ve been in previously, but at least we got our steps in, just getting to breakfast. Check-in and check-out were simple and efficient. If you have a car, and the hotel prices in Portland have your jaw dropping, this is a great alternative which will save you hundreds in exchange for a 10-minute drive. Clean, comfortable, and everything in working order.” — lebelgo, 5 stars
“My parents and I stayed at the Best Western Merry Manor Inn last week and really enjoyed our stay. The property is quite large, which is why I attached photos of the property map, and is conveniently located near the airport, Maine Mall, Portland Head Lighthouse, among other attractions. The hotel is on the older side (I believe it was built in 1967 and opened in 1968) but is clean and well-kept. We were checked in by Boris, who gave us a choice of a room on the first or second floor. We chose a room on the second floor. The room was spacious and had two sinks, a safe, a microwave, and refrigerator. I personally enjoyed the hot tub with waterfall feature and a few minutes in the (mostly) outdoor pool. The free breakfast was an added bonus with a decent selection of hot and cold items. The morning we were there the menu consisted of biscuits and gravy, which we did not eat. We had fun making pancakes with the pancake machine and trying the blueberry and strawberry toppings. There were also blueberry, banana nut, and chocolate muffins, as well as cereal (Frosted Flakes, Raisin Bran, Fruit Loops), yogurt, fruit, and bagels. My only suggestion would be to spruce up the hallways, as they make the hotel seem dated, and maybe try to get the restaurant open again. I would consider this to be a 2.5 star hotel and I will not hesitate to recommend it others. Keep up the good work!” — sac2008, 5 stars
“This was our sixth winter”ish” trip to Merry Manor and it didn’t disappoint at all. We love the heated salt water pool and enjoyed the Forest Room on this night in March. Breakfast was solid and overall a great experience” — William L., 5 stars

What guests are saying about Best Western Merry Manor Inn.
"This hotel made my list of top 5 hotels I ever stayed, it had a message chair in the room that I say in for 3 hours, a hot tub and heated pool, and a great breakfast spread. Fresh fruit, yogurt, toppings, pancakes, eggs, and Silk!!! The place was immaculately clean. Great ambiance, friendly staff, and the decor really made me feel like I was in a welcoming home. Rarely do I feel this way when I stay in a rental room. This place just had a unique energy for a hotel."

The breakfast crew were especially kind, and we ended up looking forward to our time at breakfast each morning. Overall, a fantastic value for what you receive. We would happily stay here again if we make it back to Portland."

Beds are comfy, room is clean. The service was incredible. Coming in at 1am, the front desk was kind and understanding. They made sure we got the best deal and were flexible with us about maybe extending our stay when we were still in limbo. Then- when my parents came up, it turned out they had been scammed on AirBnB and Merry Manor Inn came to their rescue as well! I really appreciate this place for ensuring our family trip was a great time, at a great price. Thank you!!"
