What Guests Are Saying

“We had a wonderful stay at the Camden Windward House. We traveled with two other couples and stayed two nights at the Windward House. Highlights: Rooms were immaculate and well-appointed, the daily breakfast was OUTSTANDING, the outdoor fire pit was a great place to relax in the evening, and the location is perfect for exploring the Maine coastline. Matt and Dan are incredible hosts and have great suggestions for restaurants and some secret tips on the best way to see some of the attractions. We will definitely return!” — Greg J., 5 stars

“Celebrated a birthday at the Windward House. Everything exceeded expectations. Definitely a FIVE Star experience. Treated warmly by our excellent hosts Dan and Matt upon arrival, who met every need. Our Suite was exquisite, which had a sitting room and a gas stove. Room was very comfy and warm . We forgot it as 20 degree weather outside. The homemade breakfast was delicious. You have to try Matt’s scratch blueberry pancakes. Of course Camden has an awful lot to offer. Everything is a short walk . We easily found two fantastic restaurants. As you can see we had an amazing time. We are planning or making a warmer weather trip up to the Windward House” — Bob P., 5 stars

“Incredible stay here with the wonderful Matt and Dan….within minutes of meeting them both, we felt we had known them for years…… great room with fantastic touches everywhere…we loved the all day pantry, and the firepit in particular. As it was Halloween, everywhere was suitably decorated and looked amazing. The house is in a great location just minutes from the harbour and all the pubs & shops are on the doorstep. Camden is a great centre for exploring Maine and on Matt’s advice we went to see the Forest Gump lighthouse, The Curtis Island lookout, Mount Battie and we did the the Bald Rock Lookout trail …all of these were brilliant. I accidently left my house keys in the room when we left and Dan was kind enough to post them back to me in UK…I’m so grateful. Overall we cannot recommend here and more…its just wonderful.” — P K., 5 stars

"We absolutely loved our stay at Camden Windward House! Matt and Dan were AMAZING hosts — so warm, welcoming, and thoughtful. The house itself is incredibly cozy, spotless, and beautifully decorated (especially with the Halloween touches — such a fun ambiance!). The location couldn’t be better, right in the heart of Camden, and everything about our stay felt so relaxing. My family and I had breakfast there and it was perfect — delicious food, wonderful service, and such a homey, comforting atmosphere. We truly wish we could have stayed longer. Everything — the people, the property, the vibe — was just fantastic. Highly, highly recommend!"

"Such an incredible B&B! The hosts were so welcoming and gave us tips on places to see and eat. The property is beautiful with gorgeous gardens, cozy rooms, and fun common spaces that include games, a fire pit, and an honor bar. Breakfast was amazing every morning - the blueberry pancakes were the best! The location is also perfect, just a short walk into town. We loved everything about our stay and can’t wait to come back!"

"I travel from New Mexico to Maine; the Windward House is a superior choice for bed and breakfast in Camden, Maine. My stay this summer at the Windward House in Camden was just as lovely, comfortable, and pleasant as my first stay at the House in 2019. Back then, when searching for accommodations in Camden, I was quite intrigued by all the high ratings for Windward House and then impressed by its comprehensive website, showing beautiful photos of the House, a long list of amenities, and “See and Do” activities in Camden and surrounding area. My 2019 stay at the Windward House was so incredibly wonderful--safe, secure location; clean, comfortable rooms with luxurious bedding; short walking distance to town center--that I was very excited to return to the House again this year. At Windward House, you’ll be welcomed by Innkeepers Matt and Dan, two of the most endearing people you’ll ever meet, who hold very high standards in keeping the House and bedrooms very clean and beautifully decorated, and the House outside is surrounded by lust, well-maintained gardens which include a water fountain and gas fire pit. Guests are treated each morning to a delicious breakfast, which includes fresh fruit and juice, along with a made-to-order breakfast. I plan to continue to return to Windward House during future visits to Maine, and I strongly recommend the Windward House for an outstanding, memorable stay in Camden, Maine."
