Vacationland Inn & Suites
"Budget motel on Route 1A with free breakfast, kitchenette suites, and the lowest rates in the Bangor area—inspect the room on arrival."
About The Hotel
From $101/night, Vacationland Inn & Suites is among the cheapest rooms in the greater Bangor area. This is a 4.0-lifetime budget motel—no frills, but the price, free breakfast, and kitchenette suites draw road-trippers and Acadia-bound travelers. Recent reviews are mixed: many guests praise the friendly staff, good breakfast, and value, but others report dated décor, cleanliness inconsistencies, and occasional hot-water issues. The back-building rooms require exterior stairs with no elevator. Best for guests who keep expectations modest and inspect the room upon arrival.
What Guests Are Saying
“We have stayed here a few times. Very affordable, and a great location if you are visiting the area. Short drive from Bangor. Very close to many shops and restaurants. Staff is friendly, and the room was very clean. AC worked very well and the bed was comfortable. The only challenge was that my wife and I stayed in the building at the back of the property, and we found it quite challenging to wheel in our suitcases. This place also has one of the better free breakfasts that I have seen.” — Gary F., 4 stars
“We loved our stay here! To my surprise our suite was Christmas themed which I thought was SO CUTE. I loved they turned two of the suites into Christmas themed ones for the season. The room looked so magical. We had an issue with the tv, they were quick to come fix it and move us to another room so we had one that worked. Everyone was so nice everything was clean and updated. We’re thinking of doing this each year from now on for our Christmas shopping.” — Briana W., 5 stars
“Very quiet and convenient place to stay. That rates are reasonable. This is the 2nd time we stayed here. If we go back to Maine that’s where we’ll stay again” — FarAway50042127044, 5 stars

What guests are saying about Vacationland Inn & Suites.
"Karmyn, at the front desk, is the best customer service staff! We've visited multiple times and this was by far the most exceptional. So accommodating! We got to have the exact cabin themed hot tub room (so charming) we saw in the photo after looking at the room options. We appreciate you! We just wanted a really nice relaxing evening and you made it possible. Nice little getaway near by to home. ☺️"

Very fair prices but my first room had no heat and the second room they moved me to had no bathtub, just a shower. All of which was taken care of very quickly. The rooms were cute, staff was nice, cool and helpful and the breakfast was pretty dang good 😊"
