About The Hotel

From $158/night, this Holiday Inn Express is a practical turnpike base for families and beach-bound road-trippers. The 3.8-star property has undergone a recent lobby and breakfast refresh, but guest rooms remain mid-renovation—some show peeling wallpaper and aging furniture, while others have been fully updated. Opt for a renovated room at check-in. The indoor pool and free hot breakfast appeal to families, and proximity to Biddeford Pool, the Pepperell Mill District, and Old Orchard Beach (10 minutes north) makes it a solid value for the southern Maine coast.

What Guests Are Saying

“Needed to stay somewhere while I had some work done on my home. This is. a really nice Holiday Inn near the Maine Mall. Very clean, spacious rooms, Keurig coffee maker in the room, good breakfast, comfortable bed, nice staff at check in and check out, and best of all plenty of hot water for my shower! It snowed while I was there and I walk with a cane. Two very nice staff assisted me at check out. Aziz cleaned off my car and Shane took my bag out for me. Above and beyond.what is expected. Recommend highly and would definitely stay again.” — Ann M., 5 stars

“The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is hot and tasty. The room was remodeled, modern, clean and comfortable. I did not have any noise issues that I’ve had with other hotels, so the rooms must be well insulated. All the amenities of home including a microwave, mini fridge and hair dryer in every room. I stayed in 5 different rooms over 5 weeks and I was never disappointed.” — Cognac V., 5 stars

“This hotel is convenient to Turnpike and accessible to shopping and food in and around Biddeford. They have just recently renovated their lobby and breakfast area and that is very nice. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Rooms are very clean and beds are comfortable. I was told that renovation would be ongoing through the winter and I am hoping that is the case as the rooms are in dire need of revamping. The wallpaper is peeling off and furniture shows its age. We stay here every year in September and have noticed the decline. Fingers crossed that by the time we come back next year, the rooms will be updated.” — pmomaine, 3 stars

  • Friendly, helpful front-desk staff noted by many guests

Cons:

"Holiday inns are my preferred hotel. Stayed at them all over the country. This particular one was excellent in every regard except that they wouldn't let us check in early. When we come to Maine we visit family all over the state and typically change hotels every night. Because of our travel into biddeford we were in town a little earlier than usual. The place was empty when we got there around 1pm and they would not allow us to check in. We had to keep our luggage with us while we shopped and visited with family. Almost always able to check in early upon arrival. Late October in maine. Not tourist season. Clearly had empty rooms, but inconvenienced for no reason."
