Best Western White House Inn
"A quirky, well-run Best Western with a presidential theme, a hot tub, and exceptional breakfast on Bangor's quiet outer edge."
About The Hotel
From $143/night — a distinctive value hotel with personality and genuine hospitality. This Best Western earns its 4.3 rating through warm, attentive staff, a clean property with themed rooms (like the Lincoln suite), and an exceptional free breakfast that exceeds standard chain offerings. The on-site hot tub and pool add relaxation appeal without premium pricing. It suits families, road-trippers, and Acadia-bound travelers who value clean rooms and a friendly vibe. The location—off Littlefield Avenue near I-95/I-395—trades proximity to restaurants for quiet parking and easy highway access. The themed decor and away-from-downtown setting are honest trade-offs for budget-conscious stays.
What Guests Are Saying
“Convenient location to I-95 and I-395. Short ride to the main coast to visit the Maine Maritime Museum in Searsport. Also visited the Penobscot Narrows Observatory. Greeted warmly by the front desk staff. Felt welcomed. Spun a carnival style wheel to get additional reward points which was totally unexpected. We reserved a fireside suite on the second floor. Elevator available for luggage but during our stay we used the stairs as they were wide and very accessible. Open, carpeted stairs without the need to open doors. Good handrails. Room was very clean and well appointed. Bathroom was large with a closet (luggage rack, iron/ironing board. and hair dryer). Hangers could be removed completely (not fixed in place like some motel chains). Double vanity sink area. Plenty of toiletry items. Plenty of towels for our stay! Sink/dressing area separate from the toilet and shower/tub area. Magnified makeup mirror in addition to the large wall mirror. GFCI outlets on either side. The toilet/shower area was small but adequate for an able-bodied person. Not suitable for wheelchair or perhaps a very large person. Curved shower curtain rod. Low tub wall that made it easy to enter and exit. Would not be great if you wanted to soak in tub but fine for a shallow bath or bathing a child. Showerhead fine. Plenty of hot water and good pressure. Only grab bar was mounted to rear wall to lower yourself into the tub but no grab bar when exiting the shower. Get an accessible room if challenged. Gas fireplace easy to operate and on a timer. AC/heat easily controlled and responsive to self-contained thermostat (easy to set). Clean air filter! Isolated desk area with lamp, outlets, USB ports. Nice office chair. Keurig coffee maker and microwave in wall niche with good size refrigerator (no freezer). Large screen TV with easy to navigate remote. Beds were comfortable. Four pillows each (we had a 2 queen room). Convenient nightstand. Center one had drawer and underneath storage space. Plenty of outlets, USB, charging ports. Large lamp seemed to take up too much space and was fixed in place. Cubieblue clock. Gideon Bible in drawer. Set of 6-8 drawers in room. Also, a massage chair! Full view mirror outside of the bathroom. Plenty of lighting with convenient switches. Curtains were fairly darkening. Some traffic noise but died down during the night. We both slept soundly. Excellent breakfast room. Lots of cold and hot options. Well attended by attentive staff member. One morning, choice of sausage/bacon/corned beef hash. Baked beans, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs. Not to mention waffle makers, hot/cold cereal (instant oatmeal). Yogurt, fresh fruit, breads, mini muffins, donuts. Full beverage choice. Pleasant lobbies. Entire establishment very clean. Plenty of parking. We would definitely stay here again when in Bangor or vicinity. This trip we did not use hot tub, pool or fitness room so could not comment.” — GeorgeCharles171, 5 stars
“Our stay at this hotel was exceptional. The accommodations were cozy, with a very comfortable king bed. The hot tub/spa provided a relaxing retreat, and the breakfast exceeded expectations—particularly the cleanliness. The staff were attentive, warm, and professional throughout our visit. Although the property is located slightly away from dining options, the overall experience more than made up for it. We would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning.” — Moira T., 5 stars

View on Google"Best hotel we've stayed at in a long time for a very affordable price! Highly recommended! Very clean, good service, great amenities (free, hot breakfast, guest laundry area, game area, pool). Off the beaten path which I appreciate. You can avoid the hustle and bustle of traffic in town. Can't say enough good about this hotel. We would definitely stay here again and choose this hotel over any other within an hour and a half. Very impressive. Not your typical Best Western. Stay here. You won't be disappointed. (FYI, nearest fast food is 12 minutes away and the only places that are open after 9:00pm.)"
