The Academy Hotel Colorado Springs

"About a year and a half ago we came to the springs to visit family. We checked in to the hotel next door and immediately checked out. We looked for a different hotel and found this one. When we walked in, we were blown away by how beautiful it was, especially for such a reasonable price. The rooms were clean and well updated. The pool was really nice, and there were plenty of places in the foyer to hang out, including a fireplace to relax and sip a cocktail or hot chocolate. The restaurant served great dinner. We're back again this week, and the experience is the same. Breakfast is really great, with an omelet bar being serviced by a couple of really nice young ladies. Mallorie suggested we check out Helen Hunt falls while we were in town, and I'm glad she did. It was well worth the short drive to get there. Another young lady named Mike was clearing tables and making sure our breakfast was a great experience. She was very personable, and a real joy to interact with. She, along with the manager/chef that was taking care of the upgraded portion of breakfast, who's name I didn't get, went out of their way to make sure my fiancée's food allergies were handled, and even went as far as bringing an extra special treat for her to our table."

"Very comfortable room. Heater works quickly (the air conditioner probably does as well, but my stay was in January). Variety of tv channels. Good food. Kind staff. Perfect stay. Highly recommend."

"So happy to have found this gem of a hotel! The customer service at the front desk was A+, she gave us a little history of the hotel & that it is a family owned independent hotel. She spoke very highly of the owners, which means they must treat their employees well. Ran into another customer who said it is THE best hotel in town & he has been staying here for past 20 yrs. Yes, it’s an older hotel, but room was very clean & updated. Everything in hotel was extremely clean. Breakfast was great, chef prepared eggs & omlets & a ton of other food in their buffet, all complimentary. And the price of our room was an unbelievable great price. Pool was great. Had free ping pong & foosball. Highly recommend! Was just a great hotel & all staff was wonderful with a smile on their face!"
