What guests are saying about Metropolis Resort:
"We stayed here as part of our family fun weekend. We were greated at the front desk and check in was easy and even two hours before they said we could check in. Our room was nice, with two queen beds, a refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, and a large tv. The bathroom was clean, had shampoo dispensors plus there is an additional sink outside the bathroom. The bed was good, pillows are about the right thickness. We had two meals the on site restaurant all The Pub. We the dinner we ate was good as they have decent burgers. We also had breakfast in the morning as the location does not provide free breakfast. It was not as good as the evening meal but still good. One thing about the restaurant is that it is always under staffed. Both time we were there they were scrambling to keep up. Still the food was good and we didn't have to leave the hotel. The waterpark is also decent. We live 20 minutes from the waterpark capital of the world so have high expectation. It has a lazy river that has a decent current, a lay down water slide, a tube slide that is a dark tunnel slide but also moves right along, a pool that is 4ft and under, and a kids play area with a large dump bucket. We got about 3 hours of entertainment out of the waterpark with a 10 year old before he was ready to move on. I do want to mention that we did encounter a couple life guards that didn't take there job very serious. They were working the lazy river area and all the other lifeguards walked the area watching things, these two just stood together and talked. Only would check on things if they thought someone was watching. The action park that is connect on the other end of the hotel was really our sons highlight. When we booked the room we included the trampoline park and when we got on site we upgraded to get a day pass at the action park as well. This costed an additional $16 per person but was worth it. The trampoline park at this time is not worth paying for if it was not included. currently the play area, the adventure area, and the ninja warrior area are closed due to covid. Really the only part that is open is the trampoline area that lets you jump and flip. The all day pass that we upgraded to lets you do VR, mini bowling, laser tag, bumper cars, indoor go karts, outdoor go carts, zip line, mini golf and any of the games that don't give tickets. This all seemed like a great deal. My favorite was the indoor go kart, these really zipped around the course. The mini golf was a decent course but the water features were not working. I also found the laser take to be fun even though my gun kept saying to hold it with two hands even though I was holding it with two hands. My only complaint here is that we go the trampoline park included with the nights stay but this didn't show up on the system and we had to go back to the main desk to get that fixed. Overall it was a great weekend. We enjoyed the location, the staff was great and didn't seem to get flustered that there are always kids running around. I"

Everything we needed was available. Swimwear, floaties, they even provide kids a free swim diaper for the water park. Never have I seen more professional, attentive, English-speaking lifeguards. Nothing gets past them, and there are plenty. My child was playing on the lily pads when one became detached from the floor of the pool. Before I even noticed, it was removed from service by the lifegaurd, and within a few minutes someone came and fixed it. I couldn't be more impressed with the place. Our room was perfectly clean, and comfortable, and seemed to have been renovated recently. We ate breakfast at the restaurant and it was excellent. It was beautiful in there. My family had a blast. The Metropolis made this Dad a hero. Thank you Metropolis. We will be back."

PROS: We traveled on Christmas and just happen to come across this resort on our way traveling south. The customer service throughout our stay was 10/10 amazing. From the waterpark staff, front desk, action city and restaurant, everyone was amazing, informative and the service was just overall great, especially for the holidays. I was surprised by the fact that everything was open on Christmas as well. The food at City Eats was soo good and the coupons we got helped with cost. The kids get free dilly bars too! This place has all the things from mini bowling, go carts, waterpark, laser tag, arcade games and arts and crafts. The facility itself was clean. We got a cute little ornament for Christmas in our room. Its a family friendly hotel/resort all around. Pets included. CONS: The rooms were the worst part of the trip which is unfortunate. We must have gotten a room that was not updated because it didnt look like anything in the pictures online and honestly, it wasnt as clean as I expected being the rest of the place was so clean. The beds and pillows are unbelievably uncomfortable. Worst night sleep ever! And although hotels with kids are loud...this loudness was on a whole new level. Its like there wasnt an ounce of sound proofing and I could hear everything so well. The prices for many of the arcade games ranged as high as $4.50( that I saw at least ) for 1 try! I get that some of the prizes were expensive but this is a huge bummer for kids who enjoy claw machine games and wasn't able to play because of the prices. Also with all the hands on activities, it would be great to see more sanitizers throughout the place. I think I only saw 1 throughout. I would definitely come back again, I would try to get an updated room and go from there, since that was really my biggest complaint. I would love to come in the summer and see the resort at its full potential being that outdoor activities were not available."
