Walnut Canyon Cabins

"We had a lovely stay at Walnut Cabins. Carl and Rhonda were incredibly warm and helpful, and gave us great recommendations for things to do in the area. The cabin was beautiful and cozy, the hot tub was a perfect add-on, and the rooftop deck was magical for stargazing on a clear night. Our 5-year-old had the best time picking up eggs from the chickens with Carl, learning all about the farm, and then getting to eat those same eggs for a delicious breakfast. The kids also loved feeding the deer, which was such a special and memorable experience for them. We truly loved this getaway and would absolutely come back."

"Wonderful hosts and clean cabin! This was our second time staying there and my family and I had a great time. Location may be a bit of drive from main Fredericksburg activities but if you’re looking for a weekend to “unplug” (as there’s no wi fi in the cabins), this is a fantastic place. There are deer roaming about in the property, as well as a small farm with lovely cows and chickens. Our first grader loved every minute of it and he was sad to leave. Our favorite moment was stargazing in the hot tub. Sky was so clear! There’s a small cafe restaurant not too far from the lodging (not walkable), as well as the smallest state park in Texas where you can watch millions of bats come out of the cave at night from May to October (ticket required). Highly recommend it for couples, friends, or a family trip!"

"This place is absolutely breathtaking. I brought my mother here from Ohio to celebrate my birthday and we had such a great time. The cabin was so quaint and clean. We loved having coffee on the porch while feeding the deer. We enjoyed the fresh breakfast items provided. Feeding the cows may have been the highlight of my weekend. Carl and Rhonda are a delight and super accommodating. Can’t wait to come plan my next visit."
