What guests are saying about Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort & Water:
"We spent our Christmas vacation at Westgate in Gatlinburg and overall had a great experience. There truly was something for everyone in our group — ranging in age from 11 to 76. The location is perfectly situated between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, which made it easy to explore both areas, and we also enjoyed spending time just exploring the property itself. Our favorite amenities were the infinity pool, fire pit, and water park. The on-site store was incredibly convenient for items we forgot, and getting around the property was surprisingly easy with very little internal traffic (unfortunately, the traffic outside the property is a different story). Check-in at the front desk was smooth and efficient. However, the biggest downside was the sales experience. We were immediately handed off to sales after check-in. What was presented as a 90-minute tour turned into nearly three hours. I clearly said “no” within the first five minutes, yet the presentation continued. I felt unheard and uncomfortable, especially after explaining that I was experiencing a medical flare-up and the pain was becoming unbearable from sitting so long. Despite this, the meeting continued, which felt inappropriate. That said, we are considering returning in 2026 with even more family because the property itself really does offer something for everyone. We sincerely hope that if we do return, the experience will not include such a pushy sales component, as that would make future stays far more enjoyable."

View on Google"Loved the resort, it was an amazing stay. Staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant at the resort the food was actually delicious, the collard greens I highly recommend. Unfortunately the water park was under improvement and not available which was the reason why we picked this resort. The room are beautiful with a fully stocked kitchen, the balcony views are amazing. The beds are comfy my only complaint is the tv are a bit outdated! No smart tvs, would have been nice to watch some Netflix while laying in bed and keep the kids entertained with YouTube. Besides that best stay I had while I was in Tennessee!"

View on Google"This was my first time staying at Westgate, and I would definitely return. I stayed in a one-bedroom unit with a jetted tub, and it was amazing. The kitchen was fully stocked, which was very convenient. The laundry room is shared with the upstairs neighbor, which is something to be aware of. The resort fee was the main downside, especially since the indoor pool was closed. I was also a bit confused about pool access because the website states that it’s not included unless noted. Check-in was smooth—Archer was very kind and professional. There was a timeshare/ticket sales pitch after check-in; I declined politely, though you do have to listen until the end. Since we booked a one-bedroom, the unit was located at the bottom of the mountain and didn’t have any views. The lobby is beautiful, and the location is great. Overall, I would recommend this resort."
