"Our stay at the Holiday Inn Express, Rapid City I-90, was a wonderful experience. It started with the great base location for all our SD excursions. The I-90 corridor is a great connector to all the sites. As you pull into the lot, do not be deterred by the abandoned buildings nearby. The Holiday Inn Express was a wonderful facility. It started with a warm welcome from Cole at the front desk. He was friendly and engaging and answered all our questions. Throughout our weeklong stay, everyone at the front desk was great. Our room was extremely clean, large enough to spread out, and very quiet. We greatly appreciated the quiet nights after our long days of exploration. The Holiday Inn was also close to several good restaurants. One of the wonderful surprises was the quality of the free morning breakfast. These breakfasts can be a scary experience, but Holiday Inn’s was great. There was a decent selection of foods. It was fresh, well stocked and tasted great. It was also a great space, with plenty of room and a true restaurant feel. The gals that ran the show were off the charts. Friendly, hardworking; they kept the food coming and kept the space clean. They kept the area spotless; before, during and after the meal was served. They also had a very good workout room. It had treadmills, an elliptical, dumbbells, yoga mats, a medicine ball and towels. The front desk also provided disposable headsets. The space was clean and well maintained (you might want to skip using the exercise bike)! I would highly recommend this Holiday Inn to everyone, and we would certainly stay there again!"

"We were all safe and that’s what matters most. Thank you all so much. It was expensive but worth the extra price. The breakfast is superior. True there have been some businesses that have closed around here, but it’s still a great location and about an hour walk from downtown. The exercise equipment worked too. The Internet worked, which was great so I could get lots of work done."

"The Good: Front desk staff, A+. Location, excellent—right off of I-90. Clean, sanitary rooms. Quiet rooms. Comfortable beds. Large refrigerator—bigger than most hotels. Wall unit AC/Heater with onboard controls which makes for superior temp control and added comfort. Bath tub has a no-slip mat. Large shower wall shelf. They actually have a bathroom fan which is getting to be rare these days. The Not So Good: No USB ports for charging phones or computers. Fortunately, I Kahri an extension cord unit for the 20% of hotels that still have not upgraded their rooms. This is a shame because some hotels have even put in lamps that have USB ports. It is probably the only reason I didn’t give this a five star review. Also at check-in process, they require you to hand write your license plate number, make and model for your vehicle, which virtually no hotels do, and that’s a hassle."
