The Westgate Resort

"I will preface the review by stating we were guests for one week at the beginning of November 2025. I have to commend the Westgate Myrtle Beach team. From start to finish we were taken care of beyond our expectations. The management team texted prior, during and after our stay asking how our visit was and if there was anything we needed. This level of anticipatory and immediate service is not even consistent at many five star properties but it definitely seems to be foundational principal for this property - thank you. Staff throughout our stay greeted us, made us feel welcomed, at home and most importantly safe. We were grateful the property was well maintained, clean, looked after and secured! Key cards are needed everywhere: all entry ways, elevators, parking lot, etc. We were guests in a one bedroom on a higher floor in the tower and the views were stellar. The room was clean, well stocked, and we loved the firm mattress. You have everything you need from cutlery, to plates and glassware. We were grateful for the parking lot and while the pool area is on the smaller side, it doesn’t matter as the beach is right there! Go to Drafts restaurant - it’s so convenient, especially for your first night; great service and good food. The motif is that you can’t go wrong here and we would definitely be back just for the property and views. I would imagine during the high season it could get very crowded and perhaps for families with small children the smaller pool area may be a bit of a let down. However, the service, cleanliness and security will make it all worth it! Thank you Westgate Myrtle Beach - so grateful for such an awesome stay!"

"Beautiful location on the beach!!! Updated, large and fully equipped kitchens and state of the art electronic setup; tvs, phone charging. Comfortable beds and sleeping accomodations. This resort is very clean and building is well maintained. Staff is very professional, approachable and helpful. Nice restaurant on the premises. Easy access to areas in the resort.We loved our visit. Highly recommend this Resort."

"On tour from Ohio, and glad we chose Westgate. Easily the most hospitable, caring, thorough resort ive ever stayed at. You must have your key card to access the entire building from the private beach to the elevators. This made us feel extremely safe and also more exclusive. They even sent a text from the front desk, and not just an automated one but a personal from the front desk personal themselves. They also are the only resort I noticed that truly cares for the well being of the Ocean and preserving it and for that I give them extra kudos. They have an armed guard on duty as well which I never saw slacking he was always alert and making his rounds but in a very calm and nurturing way. No smoke facility which I respect. You can smoke out front of the main doors to the left of the building and I didn't mind stepping out and doing so."
