"When I booked this resort I was a little concerned after reading other reviews but still decided to give it a shot. Honestly, our experience here was perfectly fine. People need to manage their expectations for resorts in Myrtle Beach. Most of the resorts you will have a very similar experience. The buildings are older but they seemed to be maintained just fine. Doug, at the front desk was very friendly. My only complaint at check in was having to get our pool bands from the “concierge” desk where they try to sell you stuff. But again, that is typical for these types of resorts. The room was clean and we had a nice oceanfront, corner room. My kids absolutely loved the water park. It is heated which is great if you come off season. The water was nice and warm. There are multiple heated pools. The outdoor pools were heated and there was an “indoor” pool. The indoor one had roll down plastic sheets to keep the cold out but honestly it was fine and still warm and usable. There is a huge arcade which my kids also loved. The restaurant and bar, Loko Gecko, was fine as well. We only got drinks there, no food, but the bartender was really friendly. Again, people, manage your expectations for these resorts. None of these resorts are five star luxury resorts BUT they are nice and a good cheap getaway. Especially off season. I would recommend this place if you have kids and they like swimming. They really will enjoy the waterpark."

The restaurant has great burgers and appetizers. The quality of the food that I had was great and very filling. The portions are perfect for me. It is a bit pricey, but it's also an ocean front resort so that's to be expected. The prices at the bar for alcohol is as you would expect for an ocean front hotel. I enjoy coming here for the party every year and look forward to being here next year."

The resort is older but looks great from outside. There is a parking garage and parking is free. The rooms were fairly clean but could have been better. Our room had a kitchenettes. The bed was firm but comfortable. The shower was powerful and hot. Room service checked on each day."
