About The Hotel

Tucked in the heart of Saint Louis, this hotel offers a secret weapon for relaxation seekers: in-room hot tubs. Not every room has a whirlpool, so ask when booking. The suites with private Jacuzzis are pure luxury, giving guests a chance to soak away travel stress without leaving their room.

Guests really like this place, ranking it #33 out of 157 hotels in Saint Louis with a solid 4.1 rating on TripAdvisor. The hot tub rooms are the star attraction for travelers wanting a private spa experience. Each tub is roomy enough for two, with strong jets that work magic on tired muscles after a long day of exploring the city.

Beyond the hot tub, the hotel offers solid extras like free WiFi, breakfast, and a restaurant on-site. Wheelchair users will appreciate the accessibility, and pet owners can bring their furry friends. But let’s be honest - if you book here, you’re coming for that in-room Jacuzzi. Pro tip: Request a top-floor suite for the best views while you soak.

"Absolutely fabulous. Original and fun, and what a great vibe at Christmas! We stayed in the Charles Dickens suite, and the little extras were amazing. There was a version of A Christmas Carol in the room for us to read, and I adored it so much, I ordered an identical copy that should ship before I get home. If you're into history at all, what a cool place."

"Lovely, unique hotel for a romantic night away! We loved the room, the restaurants, and the whole vibe. Bed was very comfortable, and we loved all the stained glass windows. I did request chocolate covered strawberries (which were incredible btw) instead of the full romance package add-on because my partner doesn't drink, but we were given and charged for the champagne anyway. No big because I could've refused, but it made me feel like they didn't read my full request. We also requested a quiet room and were put right next to the elevators, but they may not have had anything available. Being on the top floor was nice, but we woke up to slamming doors earlier than we wanted. We also ate breakfast about 30 mins before ending time, and everything was stale. So much so that we couldn't eat it, but we know to go early next time. Overall a good experience! Will stay again!"

"The Cheshire Inn has a lot of charm. 4/5 stars due to our suite needing some extra care from housekeeping and less attention to detail that I would expect from a 4 star facility. High dusting hadn't been done in awhile, as dust was evident on the higher surfaces/wall. The hvac vent had a good coat of dust, as well. As a Hospitality worker with a work history in housekeeping, and with a spouse that specializes in historical building management, we have a keen eye for cleanliness in our hotel stays. When we first arrived, our bed had been made with a sheet that clearly had bleach splashed across it that sat for quite some time, as the splashed areas were transparent from the chemical sitting so long. While this technically wasn't a cleanliness issue, it didn't look very nice. This was remedied the next day through stay over service cleaning. Unsure what program this property uses for reservations, but my request for foam pillows was not initially met (but was amended thru stay over service cleaning). All in all, though despite some issues, we would stay again. The staff are wonderful, the location is very convenient, and the decor is charming."
