"Let me just start by saying that this place is amazing. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat, and you love history and good food, this is the place to be. Jason and his excellent staff go above and beyond to make sure that your stay is one to remember fondly. While we didn’t get the opportunity to stay in the mansion this time, the yellow cottage was still a surprising gem. Nestled at the rear of the property on the edge of the woods, the serenity in this place is unmatched. My wife, daughter and I stayed here and there was a lot of room. The hot tub on the back deck was a great way to relax, especially at the chilly end of October. The breakfast: The breakfast was next level, and way more than enough. Not sure what juice they serve but it was so good. Everything was top notch. The history there is amazing, and the mansion itself is truly a time capsule. We can’t wait to visit again in the future!!! Thanks again to Jason, and to the entire staff for everything!"

View on Google"My room was wonderful. I must say that Garth Woodside Mansion should emphasize their breakfasts - maybe "Bed and BREAKFAST." I never had to eat lunch as the breakfasts were so filling (and DELICIOUS). I was on a special diet, and they made all the necessary accommodations. I never felt I was slighted in the least. I wish I had taken a picture of the breakfasts. My room (Avie's Room) was beautiful. I slept well each night."

View on Google"We really enjoyed our stay in the Dowager cottage. We were here in 2024 and came back in 2025. We liked being able to park our bike right by the cottage. The location made it easy to get to the grocery store. So, we bought some steak and side items and grilled out on the deck. Very relaxing! And hot tub after dinner! Then did some sight seeing the next day."
