"We stopped at the pharmacy on our way home and decided to book a room at this Hampton inn that is right next door. We booked online for a great price, and immediately went and checked in. There is no hot tub at this location, but we opted to check out the pool. The pool heater was not working but the indoor pool temperature was bearable. There is a charming downtown area and we close to check out Brewer's Alley (wonderful), and some other shops in the area. This hotel seems to be a fine place to stop for a night. The price was excellent on the busy labor day weekend. Breakfast was included and there was a group of guys working very hard to keep everything filled. To the hotel- one guy spends all of breakfast directing people who appear lost, or looking for something. He repeatedly says " coffee is in the front." Over and over again guests wander around wondering why there is no coffee in the breakfast area. "Coffee is in the front." Why is the coffee not moved to the breakfast area? The young man was overwhelmed at the front desk. Spilled coffee, no creamer, cups are out. Even when I checked out he was again out of cups with guests crowded around the coffee pots. He was completely overwhelmed. The many guys in the breakfast area were working so hard and doing a great job. Perhaps, the discussion about the giant RAT out by the break area was not appropriate. Guy1 "Hey man did you see the dead rat out by the break area?" "I'll take you out there later and show you." It's all rotted, probably been there for days." Guy 2 "Yeah, I've seen them moving around at night before, BIG AS A POSSUM." Overall it was a decent hotel at a good price for an overnight. We did not see any signs of rats."
