"Booked our room a couple weeks in advance which had no cancellation option but was a bit cheaper which was great. We were able to walk to our venue and back with no issues. When we finally got back the room had not cooled down at all. Called the front desk and within 5 min she had called back with news that they would not only switch us to a new room but we had been upgraded. Had we been staying a couple nights that would have been amazing because it was a suite. All we did was sleep so it wasn’t necessary but appreciated. We just wanted air! Thank you for the quick fix to our problem! Everyone was great! Room was clean and more than acceptable. Can’t wait to stay again!"

"Glad to stay here so my daughter & I could easily walk over to the Holiday Boutique at the Iowa Events Center. Friendly staff & excellent breakfast. They are doing some remodeling in some areas like new hallway carpet, but the rooms were nice so it wasn't a problem. Glad they are trying to continue to update this place."

"I've stayed in hotels all over the country - from 5-star resorts to motels in the middle of the desert. So I'm judging this one on-par with others of its price and quality. The location is excellent, right off the highway with access to conference centers and a view of the river and capitol building. What that means, though, is you're RIGHT off the highway, and the windows are clearly not insulated enough. Emergency sirens, drivers revving their cars and motorcycles, that local junker, families arriving at 1AM, you hear it all from the 7th floor. If you sleep lightly, ask for a room on the other side of the building. The King room is spacious, the bed and pillows are comfy, the bathroom was nice, but the mini-fridge and AC/Heating unit were incredibly loud. (Are you sensing a theme?) Staff was generally nice! The place is pet-friendly, and the pet fee was relatively low, which was nice. Getting in and out was super easy and handicap-accessible for those who need it. Breakfast was actually great - eggs, ham, waffles, oatmeal, fruits, donuts and muffins, coffee and tea were tasty. Probably the best breakfast we've had for the room price. Overall, the location is super convenient and for the price we paid, the place was above average. But I think I'd rather pay a bit more for a quieter stay next time."
