Best Western Plus Longbranch Hotel

"I've traveled all across the states coast to coast multiple times and this actually a sneaky great hotel. Very solid continental breakfast. Rooms were also solid (only negative. I could say where beds were a bit firm personally). Good restaurant and unique huge atrium communal area with games connected to the Glass enclosed pool. Pool, jacuzzi and sit-in wood sauna combination was a big surprise (pool chemicals may be a bit strong but there were a lot of kids if you get what I mean). The gem/ruby/diamond of this hotel is the gym. Oh man it puts any and I mean ANY hotel gym to shame. shoot I'd say most gyms in cedar rapids/Iowa city it'd put pressure on if not beat other than the really really serious ones. Almost all hammer strength equipment, iron free weights with all the variations that you would need (squat rack, flat bench and a good bit more), dumbbells that go to 120(what?!) and a cardio center. I'm also pretty sure they do aquatic fitness with pool dumbbells and pool related fitness things. With its unique look and setup and other accoutrement it provides FIVE STARS for sure."

"I had such a wonderful time here! You can really see that they’ve invested in their hotel. My room was super nice and modern—you could tell. They really pay attention to the little details that other hotels might overlook. Plus, there’s a fantastic Mexican restaurant right next door, and the food was absolutely amazing—I’d give it a perfect 10 out of 10! It’s a bit out of the usual tourist spots, but it’s also got a charming, older vibe."
