About The Hotel

Tucked away in the desert landscape, this Hilton resort offers a sweet surprise for hot tub lovers: in-room whirlpools that make relaxation easy. Not every room has a private Jacuzzi, so ask when booking. The tubs are perfect for soothing tired muscles after exploring Tucson’s nearby hiking trails or golf courses.

Guests really like this place, ranking it #11 out of 141 Tucson hotels on TripAdvisor with a solid 4.2 rating. The resort has lots of extras like a pool, free parking, and room service. But for hot tub fans, the in-room whirlpools are the real star. Some suites have larger tubs with great views of the desert mountains.

The location is another big win. You’re close to Tucson’s best attractions but far enough to feel peaceful. The resort sits on 500 acres, so you get plenty of space and quiet. Whether you want to soak after a day of hiking or just relax with a drink in your private hot tub, this resort delivers. Pro tip: Book a suite with a mountain-view Jacuzzi for the best experience.

"Love this property! I’ve stayed at this hotel for several years and have stayed in standard rooms, junior suites, and the casitas. The rooms need some love, so I am hoping a renovation is in the pipeline. The beds are the most comfortable of any hotel I’ve been to domestically and internationally. The view here is everything. Waking up to the breathtaking view of the mountain rejuvenates you. The staff are amazing. Lisa at the Front Desk is super attentive and oversaw an upgrade request with hands on support and was very sweet. Our whole family loves the staff at the pool. Joey and Dylan have been taking care of us for years and had the best attitudes- they are fun and service focused. The staff at SpaWell are delightful and absolutely know how to pamper you. This is a great resort for a getaway. We can’t wait to return."

"After years of visiting relatives in Oro Valley, AZ, and dreaming of staying at this hotel, I was finally able to do so with my husband the first week of the year, and was not disappointed. The rooms are clean and the staff is courteous and very helpful, especially the servers at the pool, which is fantastic. In fact, there are several pools, as well as a great gym with a sauna, and even a hot and cold plunging pool. It wasn’t consistently sunny because of the time of year, but we managed to spend several hours each day catching some rays by the pool. There was only one thing we weren’t keen about: the rooms attach to other rooms through a connecting door. We could hear the conversation, tv, and a few unwelcome noises through that door. I had to sleep with noise canceling headphones playing brown noise to sleep. But overall I highly recommend the El Conquistador. We hope to return again someday for more rest and relaxation!"

"The hotel and its surroundings are beautiful. The staff were excellent. Upon request, a gentleman working the front desk (I wish I could remember his name to give him props) took around 10 minutes to give me his restaurant recommendations, complete with map and hand written notes. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The view from the pool is awesome."
