"The Anchorage Grand Hotel was a great place full of history and very large clean rooms. The access to the Train station was great for an early morning departure. It also is in a vibrant neighbor of restaurants, shops and activities which made it a great place to stay not having a vehicle."

The People Mover is a great way to get throughout Anchorage for only $5 for unlimited rides a day. Since I was in a suite, I did benefit from a microwave, fridge and dishes I could use. I would highly recommend staying here if you will be there for an extended period of time and want to cook in your room."

My father really liked the “homie” feel of it. It is very conveniently located to all spots in downtown. And more significantly a 3min walk from the railroad depot which is what we wanted to be close to as we needed to be there at 5am. Also, You will hear the first train at 645am. FYI. We did not have a problem with that. Everything is walkable honestly and I personally always prefer to stay in a comfortable kitchenette over a hotel Hilton. The building is old, yes, but cozy overall. My dad and I enjoyed our stay and would probably stay here again if we decide to return!"
