What Guests Are Saying
“Beautiful resort on Mobile Bay just outside the pleasant town of Fair Hope. Exquisitely landscaped. Plenty of things for kids to do. Two golf courses, one of which is a Robert Trent Jones course. Multiple fire pits outside the grille with 6-8 seats at each making them private or for socializing in the evening. Terrific staff! We will be staying again.” — Diane F., 5 stars
“Exceeded expectations! Service was warm, friendly, and professional! Valet was easy and efficient! Food and cocktails were amazing. We went to the bayside grill, 1847, and buckeys. There is so much to do and the grounds are just so beautiful! We couldn’t find the pickleball courts, ended up overshooting them and went to some local courts in Fairhope. We enjoyed couples massages, but my partner didn’t enjoy his as much as my own. He gave feedback, but she provided too much deep tissue in areas he didn’t feel were issues. There is so much history if you stop and smell the roses. The books in main lobby, and curated ‘news/history’ binders just off the main lobby were so interesting. All the little personalized touches make this place very special. Just so very well done! Spectacular views. There’s also wildlife everywhere! We will be back!” — Medstudtravel, 5 stars
“I recommend staying close to the main building. Walking to breakfast, lunch, and dinner wasn’t enjoyable to me. Golf cart rides were inconvenient. DO NOT RELY ON UBER FOR AIRPORT TRANSFERS. Hotel must be more transparent about the distance and cost of transportation to the airport. 1 hour 20 min to MOB. Hotel EXTRA FEES ADDS 20% to your daily room rate.” — Chris L., 3 stars

What guests are saying about The Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa.
"What a beautiful and historic property! From the moment we arrived, the grounds were stunning — huge oak trees, brick pathways, and the perfect blend of Southern charm and coastal relaxation. We loved exploring the gardens and walking down to the bay. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The peaceful waterfront views, complete with swings and a putting green by the water, made it feel like the ultimate getaway. Lunch and cocktails overlooking the bay were perfect — everything beautifully presented and delicious. We also enjoyed the thoughtful touches of history throughout the property, including the statues and tributes that remind you this place has a story to tell. It’s easy to see why The Grand Hotel has been loved for generations. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the Fairhope area — whether for a relaxing weekend, a special celebration, or just a day to unwind by the water. Can’t wait to come back!"

There is old money here and the city reflects that with beautiful landscaping on almost every corner of the city. The Grand hotel has beautiful grounds that I enjoyed a nice walk after dinner. I was impressed with the comfortable rooms and one of the best breakfast buffets I have ever started my day with."

View on Google"Just a great hotel. We came here at Christmas time and my favorite was finding Waldo on the gingerbread house. The room was good and quiet. The Christmas brunch was just food which was good but I was expecting more. The stroll was nice short but confusing as we came from the back end from the hotel and must have started in the middle. Entrance is by the gate. Loved coffee by the early fire. 🔥 the games were fun and it was quite relaxing. ☺️ we will be back for sure. 👍"
