About The Hotel
Best Western On The Beach is a 4.0-rated (1,878 reviews) long-running beachfront property on East Beach Boulevard with direct access to the Gulf Shores public beach. The hotel offers a shared pool, an on-site restaurant, and Gulf-view rooms, making it a popular base for beach families and couples. Its location steps from the sand, the Hangout, and Gulf State Park Pier appeals to guests seeking walkable beach access. The property features free parking, WiFi, and a kids-stay-free policy. Peak-season rates start at $310/night.
What Guests Are Saying
“Excellent location, really nice hotel, exceptional staff!” — Tim B., 5 stars
“This place is always my home away from home. Super friendly staff. Amazing location. Yummy breakfast, highly recommend the pancakes. Ohhh, and the beds, Super super comfy. Only place we stay at. Highly recommend” — jenm8242017, 5 stars
“We stayed here because it was close to a volleyball tournament that we were attending, but wish we stayed somewhere else. We would not stay here again. We enjoyed the location and the beachfront balcony, but the property is majorly lacking maintenance, pride of ownership, and service. Cons: 1. Unfriendly front desk staff. They never acknowledged us whenever we walked through the lobby. Very standoffish. We are from the Midwest and were surprised by the lack of Southern Hospitality. 2. The pools were dirty and had a lot of sand in them. The outdoor hot tub wasn’t hot. The outdoor shower to wash sand off by the outdoor pool wasn’t working. There should at least be a sign telling people there is an outdoor shower by the indoor pool. The pool didn’t have shade umbrellas with the loungers. There is no pride in ownership at this property. 3. Dirty premises including lots of cigarette butts all over the place. The exterior landscaping is half dead. Lots of deferred maintenance. Pros: 1. Comfortable beds and we slept very good. 2. The housekeeping ladies were nice and smiled. 3. The location and view from the upper balcony room. Walkable to the Hangout area where we were attending a beach volleyball event. 4. The restaurant breakfast food was good and the waiter was nice. 5. The beach was great but could use a walkway down to the water area.” — JWill21, 2 stars

What guests are saying about Best Western On The Beach.
"We had a good time at the Best Western Beachfront. We had a top floor room with a beautiful view. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. We had 2 queens that enabled us to have a great 6 floor view, evidently the King rooms are on lower levels. The beach was white sand and clean. Thanks Heather at the front desk for all your help. We there in off season and got a good rate for beachfront. We booked on the Best Western app. The location was good for walking to the Hang Out and the Pink Pony Pub."

View on Google"Room was very clean and balcony overlooking the beach was lovely. Nice place to just have a beach vacation. Does not serve breakfast but has a restaurant inside. That place is very pricey. Waffle House is within a short walk. Nice location to walk to restaurants and shops. Beach access is perfect. Pools were nice. We had the kitchenette room and it was clean with a few utensils so might be best to bring your own. Enjoyed the beach chair rentals and really overall had a great time."

View on Google"Very beautiful hotel. Dana who works at the front desk was extremely helpful and quickly fixed a minor issue I had with the room. She really ensured everything was done to make my stay delightful. While breakfast isn’t included, there is a breakfast spot at the hotel and the food was good!"
