Gadsden Inn & Suites
"4.1-rated riverside motel with confirmed in-room jacuzzi honeymoon suite; charming downtown location, but strict no-visitor policy."
About The Hotel
This family-run motel of 40-plus years sits on Albert Rains Boulevard on the Coosa River by downtown Gadsden, offering a charming riverside base with river views and a 4.1 rating across 86 reviews. The honeymoon suite features a confirmed in-room jacuzzi tub; other rooms offer jetted tubs. Subratings are strong: 4.4 for cleanliness and service, 4.3 for rooms, location, and value. At $79–$94 per night, it delivers excellent value. However, a strict no-visitors and pool-wristband policy has drawn candid 1-star complaints from guests unaware of the rules before booking—read policies carefully.
What Guests Are Saying
“Room 219 was immaculately clean and fresh. Recently renovated, very comfortable mattresses, extra-large room with a big fridge, and the bathroom has a soaker tub which we especially loved. We will stay here every year on our way to the Smoky Mountains.” — MagpieChat, 5 stars
“Room 234 has two comfortable queens and a large tub with jets, plus a large fridge and freezer. We enjoy sitting out front watching the river traffic on the Coosa. The earlier negative reviews reflect guests upset about pool rules for friends. We enjoyed our stay.” — Allen and Wanda, 5 stars
“Nowhere on their policies upon booking does it state you are not allowed any visitors at any time. The manager said all these people gotta go about my visiting friend and children, recited policy rather than showing decency, and refused a refund. Steer clear.” — L H, 1 star

What guests are saying about Gadsden Inn & Suites.
"Excellent value. Staff were friendly and attentive, bent over backwards to put us in a room that our motorbike could be parked directly outside. Rooms were clean and quiet, didnt use the exercise room or the pool but they also appeared nice and clean. Walking distance to restaurants and convenience stores too. Breakfast couldn't really be called breakfast, not good at all. But the rest was fabulous."
