Renaissance Shoals Resort & Spa
"A 4.4-rated riverfront resort and spa with the RTJ Golf Trail, a full spa, pool, and evening entertainment."
About The Hotel
The Renaissance Shoals Resort & Spa is a 4-star riverfront property on Hightower Place with a 4.4 rating across 742 reviews. This marquee Shoals destination features a full spa, a pool, the RTJ Golf Trail, a bar and lounge, and evening entertainment overlooking the Tennessee River. Guests are consistently treated well, with strong ratings for cleanliness (4.6), rooms (4.5), and service (4.5). The property excels as a special-occasion and golf destination, with repeat guests praising the royal treatment and amenities. However, at $309–$325 per night, it commands the top of the Florence market, and one 2026 guest felt the pricing excessive relative to the all-you-can-eat breakfast quality and limited complimentary services.
What Guests Are Saying
“This was an all-girls-spa trip for my birthday weekend, and it was absolutely amazing!” — Julie W., 5 stars
“This resort is overlooking the Tennessee River. A lovely park, River Heritage Park, is under the hill with a nice walking trail and playground for children. A large pool is accessible with a hot tub. The resort also has a spa. We only stayed one night during cooler weather so we did not try the pool nor the spa. We did try the restaurant, Swamper’s Bar & Grill for both dinner and breakfast.(separate review) staff were friendly throughout the resort. We would like to return for a longer visit to enjoy all amenities of resort and tour the area.” — Michelle, 5 stars
“First of all let me say this place is very expensive. The hotel is very nice…don’t get me wrong. However, the breakfast all you can eat buffet was cold for the most part. Waitress was not very attentive and there were hardly any people in the restaurant. And the day we were leaving, I was looking for coffee to go for the road. No complimentary coffee. Really? For that kind of money? Even Hampton has coffee available all day all night. You can do better!!!” — marmie1a, 3 stars

What guests are saying about Renaissance Shoals Resort & Spa.
"I’m a Marriott Platinum member and the service at this hotel is phenomenal. Jason checked me in the last couple of weeks for business and I was really impressed with his professionalism. Larry, Johnny and Tradarrius do a great job of following up on the fine details. The room is very clean and inviting. The breakfast is excellent and Swampers or 360 grill for dinner is excellent. Thanks again to Jason Henderson for making my business trip better!!"

The room was big and done in a beautiful decor. I would think it would really be nice to visit in warmer weather."

We actually didn't leave the resort because it's was so beautiful and just what we wanted. Heather the manger always checked on us making sure everything was great! Shes just the nicest lady! Also Melissa our breakfast server was super friendly and gave tons of tips on things to do around town. We went to the 360 grill the food was 5 star! Definitely will be coming back and highly recommend this hotel."
