About The Hotel

The Sheraton Birmingham Hotel is a 3-star convention property rated 3.5 out of 5 based on 1,241 reviews, positioned directly attached to the BJCC convention center downtown. Guests praise the convenient location for events, friendly front-desk staff, and reliable hot water. However, reviews consistently flag highway noise, aging infrastructure, broken elevators, inconsistent cleanliness, and maintenance issues. The hotel commands rates from $186 to $237 per night. Valet-only parking and a large convention-hotel model mean service quality varies significantly. A jetted-tub room is available as a specific room type but requires confirmation at booking.

What Guests Are Saying

“Great stay at the Sheraton. My room was not on the side of the interstate so I can’t comment on noise for all the rooms but my room was possibly one of the quietest rooms I’ve ever stayed in. The water was always hot. The front desk was friendly. Would recommend.” — Annie C., 5 stars

“Rooms are extremely loud from the highway noise. Most elevators did not work: either were shut down entirely, did not go to the floor you selected or stopped at a floor and only opened the doors mid-way (YIKES!) The room service food was not edible - it was like they had cooked the burger 6 hours before.” — lindamarie23, 2 stars

“This hotel is overated and rooms are outdated i had the club level room 1609 and the shower got cold whole i was in it for 30 minutes Elevator in the middle was broken long wait. The club where food and drinks were with the room was dirty and no attendant lacked food and needs cleaned up. This was a very poor maintained hotel with outdated items i spoke with front desk ” jay” who stated they would relay all info to departments and management. I never recieve a reply or email i shoukd get a refund this place at least a 2 star if that do yourself a favor stay somewhere else.” — Bertram C., 1 star

"My stay at the Sheraton Hotel was delightful! I had a king room the room was very clean, the next day I left to enjoy the city. I walked to railroad park which was a 24 minute walk not a bad walk at all. On my return back to the hotel my bed was made, old towels replaced with fresh new ones, bathroom tidied up was giving more coffee and water. A card was left on the dresser that said “It is our pleasure we are here to help you enjoy your stay” signed Indiyah that room attendant did a great job and it was nothing I had to ask for while staying I can say I never got this kind of service at any other hotel. I was here for business and whenever I have to come back I definitely will be returning to the Sheraton! I never leave tips but this time I most definitely did. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

"The “& More bar” and cafe is a great alternative to anything outside of the hotel close by. Jermaine at the bar is amazing. His espresso martini is delicious."

"Fairly priced and typical of large chain hotels. Lots of convention center guests. Cleanliness was slightly above average. Wear and tear was about average. Little to no interaction with the staff. The room was comfortable and smelled pleasant without any funky cleaner smells. Only a handful of walkable restaurants that are worthwhile. On the 11th floor facing the West, there was a tremendous amount of noise from the interstate."
