What Guests Are Saying

“Booked here because I saw traveler photos that showed a hot tub. This hotel no longer has an indoor hot tub. Indoor pool was also freezing. Other than these, the hotel was very nice.” — Sara B., 4 stars

“This is not necessarily a message to the HGI Birmingham, SE as it is to the entire HGI and Hampton Inn properties. Given the emphasis on improving the types and quality of foods Americans consume, why in God’s name do you insist on pushing CoffeeMate chemicals on your clients? Have you looked at what this product is made of? Have you looked at the chemicals in the products they manufacture and market?? If you are going to continue with these chemical additives at your properties can you at least offer real dairy half and half as well??” — TerryR1955, 4 stars

“We are Hilton Honor members. The only positive thing I can say about our stay was the comfort of the bed and the clean linens. When we arrived we got checked in at the front desk and went up to our room. There was a dirty glove outside our door. The room had sticky floors, the bathroom was dirty. Grime and multiple hairs in the shower. The counter tops in the room had food crumbs on them and crumbs all over the floor. We let management know and was given a new room. The new room was still dirty. Same issues. Hair and grime in the shower. Leftover lunch meat in the fridge. Microwave had lots of old dried up food in it. We had to go buy Clorox wipes and spray to clean it ourselves. At that point we were over it. Very disappointing to drive 4 hours and be met with uncleanliness. We were discounted and it was appreciated.” — Allison G., 2 stars

"I just finished a week-long business trip to Birmingham and this Hilton Garden Inn Liberty Park was exactly what I needed. The suites here are much larger than others I’ve stayed at downtown; having the separate sofa area and plenty of modern charging ports made it very easy to stay productive. Why this property is a standout: Enthusiastic Staff: A huge thank you to Angela at the front desk. Much like other reviewers have noted, the staff here is incredibly kind and greets you with genuine enthusiasm. She made check-in a breeze! Spotless Gym: As a big fitness guy, I was impressed. The gym was clean, well-maintained, and had the exact equipment I needed for a real workout. Atmosphere & Location: The lobby is beautiful, and I really enjoyed the quiet outside seating area in the evenings. The neighboring complexes offer a very safe walking area, which was a nice bonus for getting some air after work. Comfortable & Clean: The beds are incredibly comfortable and the room was spotless. I also appreciated the complimentary waters! If you want a clean, quiet, and professional stay in Birmingham this is the spot."

"The mgr & staff are very accommodating! The housekeeping needs improvement but it's still a good place to rest. Maintenance is excellent, they respond in timely manner. They do have ladybugs which are harmless lol, if you see one, just think, about those other hotels that have less charming insects."

"The location was great, the lobby was beautiful and the bathrooms were clean. For the price, it lacked listed. It didn't look like other Hilton Garden Inns I've visited. I thought the charging ports were a nice touch, I would like to see c-chargers added as that's what's presently being offered vs USB. The sinks and rub backed up if you ran the water long but it did clog, just slow to drain. They also had make up wipes and I believe big bottles of shampoo, conditioner, lotion and body wash--nice touch for those who need it. Also someone used the coffeemaker before we arrived and left proof, we found it just as you see it."
